Management

Combi International was founded in 1970 by two Dutch businessmen, Jan Buijks Sr. and Martien Roelofs. Jan Buijks was already running his own inland shipping company and Martien Roelofs was active in the field of ship brokerage. The result was a highly successful partnership.
 
Around 1980, they started a trading company together. Their approach, based on a combination of market knowledge and commercial instinct, quickly resulted in a flourishing trade with numerous ship owners. Today, the company is managed by Jan Buijks Jr. and Simon Provoost.
